Kerala is beautifully located in southwestern India and is often referred to as “God’s own country”. Famous for its lush scenery, the serenity of the backwaters, crystal clear beaches and its rich cultural fabric, Kerala welcomes adventure, excitement and countless relaxation seekers.
The diversity of natural beauty extends from hill stations like Munnar – with enchanting greenery, misty hills and valleys with panoramic views, rolling tea plantations and, of course, a cool climate – to Thekkady, home to the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where visitors can spot elephants and tigers. Unique with its backwaters, one can find quiet relaxing houseboat rides amid paddy fields and coconut palm trees.
Apart from the stunning scenery, Kerala has a very rich cultural heritage: Kathakali dance, Kalaripayattu martial art and Ayurveda treatments. Temples, forts and structures displaying the finest features of colonial architecture can be found in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.
Overall, Kerala has offered a unique blend of diverse flora and fauna along with some culture and warmth to provide the tourists with a unique experience of excitement as well as relaxation.
